Chloe Maclean

Chloe Maclean is a PhD student in the sociology department of the University of Edinburgh. Her PhD focuses on gendered sensory embodiment in the sport of karate, and is fully funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). Alongside her PhD she is an advisor to the Scottish Karate Governing Body (SKGB) on the interests of women and girls, and is also a long-term karate practitioner herself, currently fighting as a member of the Scottish National Karate team.
