Luke White

Luke White is Senior Lecturer in Visual Culture at Middlesex University, and with an interest in the intersections of art, theory and popular culture, teaches students across the School of Art and Design. He co-organised the symposium ‘The Sublime Now’ (2007) at Tate Britain, and is editor (with Claire Pajaczkowska) of the book The Sublime Now (Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2009). He has published in journals including the Journal of Visual Culture, Radical Philosophy and Tate Papers. His current research project is on politics, performance and the body in Hong Kong martial-arts cinema, from which an article on embodiment, authenticity, storytelling and martial arts pedagogy in the films of Lau Kar-leung has recently been published in the themed Martial Arts Studies issue of JOMEC (June 2014).
